Sublingual B12 is a very important supplement that helps create red blood cells and forms DNA. In people that have fatigue issues (like CFS or FMS patients) it can give an added boost of energy and concentration. Even if there is no current deficiency. It is one of the most widely prescribed vitamins for chronic fatigue syndrome and was voted to be the most helpful in a recent poll.
There are different ways that B12 can be ingested. Each have their own benefits and drawbacks. The injectable form is the most easily absorbed into the body, but also can be very expensive and require a prescription and shots. Sublingual B12 supplements can be a good alternative to the injections, if you either cannot get the prescription or you don't like giving your self a shot. The sublingual form is placed under the tongue and allow to dissolve. This is a more direct route into the bloodstream and pills you would swallow. The b12 is absorbed thought the thin membrane under the tongue and will go more directly into the bloodstream. The are also pills that can be swallowed. This for is the least effective, but also the cheapest.

There are also 3 different forms of B12 that you can try. There are the hydroxycobalamin, methylcobalamin, and cyanocobalamin forms of b12. These three forms range in price and effectiveness. The methyl form may be the most expensive, but is a good methylation and detoxification. If taken in injectable form, it can cost up to $300 for a 1 month supply. Sometimes health insurance will pay if it is prescribed by a doctor.
I would recommend the sublingual methyl form because is is the most effective, for the lowest price. It is easy to take and does not require a shot.
